One of our banking clients is looking for a Product Manager (Corporate strategy and product acquisition exp)
Length: Contract term is 24 months with possibility of extension
Location: Hybrid, Toronto, ON

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Segments, the Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of various initiatives that result on the accelerated growth of New to Canada segment.

The Customer Segments team is responsible for identifying and driving profitable primary customer acquisition and share of wallet growth strategies for priority customer segments through the development and implementation of segment-driven strategies. The individual will be required to understand the competitive landscape and provide a compelling value proposition to attract customers identified in a certain segment. The individual will also be responsible for end-to-end execution – partnering with sales teams to ensure a flawless go to market approach. At the same time, the individual will be required to work cross-functionally, on a regular basis, with product, marketing, process & digitization, risk, sales and analytics to bring the segment’s value proposition to life.

The incumbent will also analyze market, competitor and customer information to develop strategies that will enable us to nurture deeper customer relationships early on in their journey with the bank.

  • Develop compelling value propositions for the segment, keeping customer needs, competitive landscape, and profitability in mind
  • Evaluate and report on competitor group banking programs on an on-going basis to understand positioning, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Identify and develop compelling partnerships to help grow the New to Canada segment portfolio and support customers with relevant value adds
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer analytics, Customer Care and Sales teams to analyze business and marketing data to identify key drivers, mechanics and associated dependencies for driving conversion, product adoption, retention, and cross-sell
  • Identify best-in-class customer communication and cross-sell practices to inform the bank and develop a robust segment strategy
  • Deliver greater productivity by identifying and ensuring that key group banking business processes, policies and supporting infrastructure are aligned to meet the needs and enhance the experience of our customers and satisfy all regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively translate analytics into meaningful customer insights and actionable recommendations
  • Performance monitoring including Forecast results from various tactics and advocate for resource prioritization
  • Demonstrate an end-to-end approach from value to sales and execution
  • Collaborate with marketing partners to develop content for communication and creative teams to drive the development of communication templates marketing assets to nurture client relationships
  • Drive continued innovation in evolving the segment program
  • Articulate program strategy and communicate results to key stakeholders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred:

  • 5+ years relevant Strategy, Consulting and/or Brand Management roles in Customer focused industries
  • Relevant educational qualifications (undergrad or grad degree in management, strategy and innovation).
  • Candidates should have some management/senior experience
  • Candidates should have relevant experience in the Canadian job market
  • Experience with customer experience strategies, customer segmentation and market research
  • Experience in executing customer strategies and value propositions, particularly those that required co-ordination and project management across the organization with multiple key stakeholders
  • Experience with acquisitions
  • Prior change management experience is an asset.
  • Master’s Degree nice to have
  • FI experience nice to have but strategic experience a priority
  • Good understanding of product and sales
